Instagram new logo
On 16 May 2022 significant number of social media users observed that the Instagram logo appears to be brighter than usual. The purple, pink, orange, and yellow colors started to appear with brighter colors.
In addition, people noted a change in the ring colors around the stories as well.
Instagram didn’t announce the new logo uplifting, but the update appeared on many users’ accounts.
We can’t know the reason behind this logo uplifting unless Instagram announces it officially. But it could be because the platform has uncountable updates, especially regarding the new News Feed update announcement.
Instagram news feed update:
Instagram’s CEO (Mosseri) announced that the company is developing a more immersive experience in the app’s primary Home feed.
This means that the video will take up more space and become a larger component of the feed.
Both photographs and movies will fill more of your screen and the format will be longer.
The purpose of these feed adjustments is to figure out how users on social media prefer to interact, and whether the 9:16 format is better for a mobile experience. When we compare it to TikTok, we can see that they are already full-screen by default. Therefore this move could be due to the competition between Instagram and Tiktok.
This update is still under testing, so it might not reach your account for now.
Instagram updates – Chronological order of the feed
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, revealed that the company is experimenting with a chronological feed arrangement. He added three new options, Home, Favorites, and Following. So that every Instagram user can pick how they want their posts to appear on their home page (two of which will show posts in chronological order):
1-Home: will function normally and provide the same user experience as before, post ordering is determined by an algorithm. Essentially, this algorithm prioritizes material based on how engaged it believes the user will be for the most of their time.
2-Favorites: This feature displays postings from accounts that users have designated as their favorites.
3-Following: It will be a chronological list of the accounts the user follows, similar to how most social networking apps used to sort their updates.
It’s a good idea for users to choose what to see on their news feed. In addition, business owners must work on an effective social media strategy that let users and followers mark them as favorite accounts.
Attracting people’s attention and working on their interests is not an easy task. You must update your social media strategy, content, and posting format as per your market demand.
